Our historic Coast Guard Cutter opens for the summer on May 24, 2025
Summer hours are 2:00 and 6:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Last entry is at 5:45.
Hours are subject to change due to the weather. If the forecast is for more than 50 percent chance of rain, if a Heat Advisory has been declared, or the Air Quality Index rises above 200, the ship will close.
When you visit, remember that you will be entering a ship undergoing restoration. We want you to enjoy your visit safely. Wear comfortable flat shoes and clothing that you can wear to climb a ladder. Watch out for low overheads and for trip hazards and obey all instructions from our crew. Visit our Kids’ Deck for guidelines for visiting with children.
Admission to LILAC, our docked museum ship, is free and visitors can view exhibits and tour the ship at no charge. Donations are gratefully accepted but are not required.
LILAC hosts art and historical exhibits as well as cultural and educational activities which are free and open to the public. Because space is limited, reservations may be required for special events. Join our mailing list to receive advance notice.
Private and group tours may be scheduled outside of our regular hours depending on availability of a tour guide and crew. Please contact us to make a reservation.
